Nigerian Customs Impounds E-money’s 10 Luxury Vehicles Over N6m Import Duty



The Federal Operations Unit, FOU, Zone A, Nigeria Customs Service, has seized 10 extravagance vehicles having a place with #EMoney, a well known music promoter, over under-installment of obligation on the vehicles.

The vehicles, said to have been cleared by officers and men of Apapa Customs Command, were captured by authorities of FOU, following a tip-off about the estimation of obligation paid on them.

A source at FOU affirmed the seizure to Vanguard, clarifying that E-Money himself had gone to the Unit to attempt and reclaim authority of the vehicles, however that FOU initiative had demanded finish installment of obligation before the vehicles can be discharged to him.

Vanguard assembled that the prominent promoter paid over N6 million obligation and the vehicles discharged to him.

This was affirmed by the Customs Area Controller, CAC, Garba Mohammed, who stated: "We have discharged the vehicles to him. He came and paid over N6 million. I consider N6.7 million or something like that."
